I worked at MADE-BY’s Amsterdam office, my duties included:

  • Analyzing production data and making the score cards for textile and clothing companies.
  • Verifying sustainability claims: checking transaction certificates, scope certificates, invoices and purchase orders against eco standards certification claims. The certificates and audit reports I verified included: eco cotton certificates, Lenzing certificates, SA 8000 and BSCI reports.
  • Creating reports and drawing conclusions on the brand’s progress towards sustainability.
  • Supporting on consultancy projects: stakeholder analysis, market research (Portuguese/Spanish).
  • Writing articles for the press monitoring and monthly news briefs (reading articles in Dutch and writing short summaries in English).
  • Supporting on a simple calculation of the environmental impact (EI) of dropping one clothing style.
